Policy development input is being sought regarding three policies that the Ravenna Public School Board will be reviewing and discussing at their regular June 9, 2025, Board of Education Meeting. The Ravenna Public School Board reviews, revises, and keeps its school board policies current and up to date with federal law, state law, societal trends, and educational trends on an ongoing basis. The Ravenna Public School Board intends to hold a public hearing regarding three policies which include Policy 5015 – Protection of Pupil Rights; Policy 5018 – Parent Involvement in Educational Practices; and Policy 6025 – Student Cell Phone & Other Electronic Devices.
The policies are available for review below. The final, proposed copy for these policies appear on the left. The "redline copies" (original policy with edits in red) appear on the right hand side. Policy 6025 currently does not have any proposed edits, so there is no redline copy for this policy.
Those wishing to provide input to the Ravenna Public Schools Board of Education on these policies have two options to do so. Those wishing to submit written input can email Ravenna Superintendent, Ken Schroeder, at <ken.schroeder@ravennabluejays.org> by 12:00 (noon) on Monday, June 9th. The written input will be presented to the Ravenna Board of Education, exactly as it is written, and will become a matter of public record. The second option available to the public for providing input on these policies is to attend the June 9, 2025, board meeting at 8:00 PM in the Ravenna Public Schools High School Library located at 41750 Carthage Road and provide input in person directly to the Ravenna Board of Education, during the public hearing regarding these policies.
Thank you for considering providing input to the Ravenna Board of Education on these policies.
